Gald Code exists to turn complex, ambiguous business problems into systems that work — with the same accountability an internal founder-level engineer would carry.
Philosophy
Understand the problem. Design the right system. Own the execution.
We don't position ourselves around the amount of code written. Code is the cheapest part of the work. The expensive part is knowing what to build, deciding what not to build, and being honest about what will break.
João leads technical delivery and coordinates project-based teams. Additional specialists can participate according to scope. Responsibilities, communication and milestones are agreed for each engagement.
Principles
Engineering ownership
We take responsibility for whether the system works in reality, not for whether a ticket was closed.
Founder-minded execution
Technical decisions are business decisions. We weigh cost, risk and time the way an owner would.
Small teams
Small, capable engineering teams move faster than large ones when the right people own the problem instead of only owning tickets.
Adaptability
Requirements change. Constraints appear late. We change direction without treating it as failure.
Technical breadth
Backend, frontend, mobile, cloud, data and applied AI in the same head — so the architecture isn't shaped by one specialty.
Speed with accountability
Fast delivery only counts when someone stands behind what was delivered.
Product thinking
We ask who uses it, what it changes and what happens when it fails — before writing the first line.
Confidentiality
Most commercial work is protected. We discuss engineering, never client secrets.
Builder-led
João Paulo Galdino
Software & AI Product Engineer and founder of Gald Code, formally established in 2026. Programming since 2019; professional commercial software development since 2022. His experience spans backend, frontend, mobile, cloud and applied AI.
His work spans production business systems, AI agents and tool calling, multimodal and document understanding, computer vision, voice, real-time platforms and 3D reconstruction. Currently studying Information Systems while leading engineering work.
Working languages and platforms include Python, TypeScript, Node.js, React, Next.js, React Native, Swift, Go, C++, SQL, AWS and Docker — used as tools, never as a checklist.
